Clays have been used for hundreds of years according to ancient ayurvedic tradition as face and body masks and skin treatment to detox and beautify skin. Our dry clay masks are excellent choices because the risk of contamination or expiration is limited.

Dry/Sensitive Skin - a mix of rhassoul clay, red moroccan clay,  colloidal oatmeal, and chamomile flowers.

Rhassoul clay is great at detoxifying the skin without stripping the moisture. Colloidal oatmeal forms a protective barrier that helps to provide skin moisture and hydration with its potent emollient properties. It also eases any inflammation while cleaning your skin as well.  Chamomile is hypoallergenic and helps to reduce skin irritants. Red clay softens the skin and gently exfoliates.

 

Oil/Acne-prone Skin - a mix of french green  bentonite clay, rhassoul clay, dead sea salt, and activated charcoal

Green Clay is great for restoring balance to the skin, soaking up excess oil that may clog pores and lead to acne and imperfections, and doubles as a powerful, deep cleanser that helps to balance ph levels. Rhassoul clay is great at detoxifying the skin without stripping the moisture. Dead sea salt is rich in sulfur and is competent to fight acne and blemishes. Rich in magnesium, it provides hydration Activated charcoal reaches deep into your pores to remove toxins and impurities and offers beneficial exfoliation for a smoother skin glow.

 

Mature Skin - a mix of rhassoul and red clay, lavender, and calendula flowers

Rhassoul Clay is rich in silica, potassium, magnesium, and calcium.  It reduces dryness, flakiness and improves skin texture. A gentle exfoliator. Red clay tightens skin and softens while exfoliating. Lavender calms,  revitalize, and tones skin. Calendula protects against the stress-related breakdown of collagen and elastin and is effective in both aging and dull skin.

 

Directions for use:

These masks can be used 1- 2 times each week.

Do not use on broken or overly sensitive skin. We recommend that people with sensitive skin perform a patch test first to ensure there is no reaction. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Simply scoop about 1 tablespoon of your dry mask, add liquid to make a paste, and apply to clean skin. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. Tone and moisturize after rinsing. Distilled water, hydrosols, and aloe vera juice or gel are excellent liquids to use.
